What is "going badger?"

Take this little test: A stranger pushes you down. What's your response?

  • Confusion?
  • Fear?
  • Is this person either nuts or you somehow offended them?
  • All of the above?

Now picture this same stranger pushing down your mother, child or grandchild. You feel any different? Yeah, I know you do, because the thought of somebody hurting a family member unleashes the fury of a Mama Bear protecting her cubs.

Educating that fury to defend yourself is what Going Badger's about.

  • Who exactly is this for? Do I need any previous self-defense training?

No prior training is necessary. Going Badger is for women with the attitude that fighting back is preferable to counting on his mercy and understand that "hope" is not a good self-defense strategy...

  • Do I need to be “in shape” to do these moves?

Badger moves are designed to work with minimal physical exertion or natural athleticism and with no special attire. (You don't get time to stretch out or change clothes when you're attacked.)

  • Is Going Badger a style of "martial art" or competitive sport?

No. Most of the moves would be illegal in competition. Studying a martial art is a wonderful pursuit (we're all instructors in various martial arts styles) but Going Badger is simplified self-defense for when your life is on the line. No belts. No tests. Just good stuff for you to know, and can instinctively do without a lot of memorization.

  • Is there an email for my questions or comments? Is Going Badger on Facebook?

We'd LOVE your feedback, and will incorporate your questions, comments and suggestions into future lessons. You can expect a prompt response to your email: [email protected].
